Reacting to it, as senior actor Naseeruddin Shah called Kangana Ranaut a ‘half-educated starlet’, the actress took to her team’s social media handle to react and reply with an answer. In an interview with India Today Television, Naseeruddin Shah denied the presence of a ‘movie mafia’ in the film industry. He also spoke about Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, and how certain people who have some frustration towards the industry are ‘vomiting it out to the press’. Talking on a similar topic, the senior actor added, “No one is interested in the opinions of some half-educated starlet who decides to take it upon herself to you know, get justice for Sushant.”

Reacting to Naseeruddin Shah calling her a ‘half-educated starlet’, actress Kangana Ranaut tweeted her reply. Re-tweeting a Twitter post by the channel, Kangana tweeted, “Thank you Naseer Ji, you weighed all my awards and achievements which non of my contemporaries have on the scale of nepotism, I am used to this but would you say this to me if I were Parkash Padukone/Anil Kapoor’s daughter ?”


The Thalaivi actress thanked Naseeruddin Shah as he weighed all his awards and achievements which one of her contemporaries has on the scale of nepotism. She then said that she is used to people talking about her, but went on to question Shah if he would have said this if she were Anil Kapoor’s or Prakash Padukone’s daughter. She then also tweeted an old interview of her with Naseeruddin Shah and called him a great artist. In her tweet, the actress also said, “Itne mahan kalakar ki toh galiyaan bhi Bhagwan ka parsad hai,” and mentioned that she would rather enjoy watching her having a good conversation with him on cinema and craft where he appreciated her.
